Dr. Ben Rosenblatt is a world class coach that has a wealth of knowledge when dealing with injured athletes. In his workshop Injuries are opportunities, you will learn the secrets to his success and how he has successfully rehabilitated countless Olympic athletes back to their best.

The main areas covered in this theoretical and practical workshop will be:
- Identifying how and why athletes get injured
- Identifying a strategic approach to rehabilitation
- Identifying appropriate assessments to represent injury risk
- Developing training strategies to actively reduce injury risk
- Evidence based principles of effective exercise selection and coaching strategies
- Strategically reducing injury risk with athletes that you work with

- 09.30 – 10.00 : Registration and meet and greet
- 10.00 – 12.30 : Morning Session (Lecture/Practical)

ABOUT BEN
Dr Ben Rosenblatt has a PhD in sports biomechanics and S&C and has special research interest in effective exercise selection and programme design to improve sports performance and reduce injury risk.
He leads the physical preparation programme for the Great Britain & England Women’s Hockey team in their preparation through the recent Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and to the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ben also coaches several members of the British Olympic Judo team, is an honorary lecturer at University College London and consults to several national governing bodies and elite sports team on the implementation of strength and conditioning strategies to reduce injury risk and enhance sporting performance.
Having worked in college and university sport in the USA and UK Ben took an internship with the Olympic Medical Institute as an S&C coach. Ben then led the Sports Science and Fitness at Birmingham City FC before moving on to the BOA / EIS Intensive Rehabilitation Unit (IRU). The role of the IRU is to accelerate the rehabilitation of injured Olympic athletes. Ben was responsible for providing S&C support and coaching to injured Olympic athletes and developing innovative solutions to rehabilitation problems within his inter-disciplinary team. He held this role through the cycle to the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Ben is passionate about working with athletes, coaches and support staff to create training solutions which positively impact on sports performance at the highest level of competition.
